Old Business

The council discussed update regarding the status of CFC via email from Jim Dentino:

“There are no requirements that state how often an LIC must meet. CFC 16 has decided that a minimum of one full council meeting per quarter is required. Committee meetings need to occur as often as needed to keep the business of that committee functioning.

The program manager's position has not yet been filled but there are three very qualified candidates going thru the last of the interviewing process. I hope to be able to offer the position by the end of this week.

The budget is in a much better position then at this time last month.

Crosspoint has been able to pay its bills and reestablish our lines of credit. We still have major concerns regarding the second half of the fiscal year. If the LIC is in need of spending money to keep project going or to start project especially child find or provider recruitment now would be a good time to do it.

The Department has told me that currently providers can expect about a four week delay in payments. They hope that it will not get much longer then that, but the EI revolving fund is spending more then it is bringing in.”

The council discussed getting key players together to figure out the direction the council wants to take.  The council decided a luncheon with LEA principals, EC program directors, and coordinators would be beneficial.  The luncheon will hopefully be scheduled in late February, early March.

Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for March 31, 2009 from 8:30-9:30 at Mental Health of Champaign County at 1801 Fox Dr.  Some agenda items for the next meeting include: a review of the luncheon, discussion of the vision of the council and the formation of sub-committee to review the by-laws.
